Cedar Rock To John Rock, NC
On May 2nd I headed out to Cedar Rock Mt and John Rock on the Pisgah NF just outside of Brevard NC to look for some reported Carolina hemlocks. Ended up with an 11.4 mile long hike on a warm spring day. Ended up locating 17 Carolinas below Cedar Rock on Cat Gap Loop and another 5 trees along the John Rock Trail. Success!
